What an amazing year for Heartland Australian Terriers. We started off slow and then really ramped it up. Originally, we planned a breeding in April or May, but Scarlett was ready a little too early and we couldn't get the coordination right, so we had to skip that breeding. We made great use of the time between then and now though. In June, we attended a 4 day show in Cambridge Minnesota, with amazing results. Wilbur has really been maturing this year. He got two Major wins at that show meeting all of his Major win requirements to get his AKC Championship. Scarlett also did well, getting Select Bitch on 3 of the 4 days, and Getting Best of Opposite Sex on one of those days, bringing her within 1 point of achieving her AKC Grand Championship.
In July, we attended the Oklahoma City Summer Classic Show for 2 days. Wilbur got a Best of Breed, and it was the first show for Heartland Spitfire "Ace in a Day" "Neo", getting him some great experience.
In October, we attended a show in Enid, Oklahoma. Wilbur got BOW on both days of the show, bringing him within 2 points of achieving his AKC Championship, and Scarlett got BOB on both days, getting her enough points to finish her AKC Grand Championship!
We also attended a show in Rapid City South Dakota...so much happened at this show. First, Wilbur got Best of Winners two days in a row, getting the last 2 points that he needed, and he is now an AKC Champion!

Second, At this show, Scarlett was in the mood, and we were able to complete the planned breeding to Edward! Puppies are expected in December of 2017! (Update: These puppies were born on December 19th. 2 Blue and Tan Boys, 3 Blue and Tan Girls, and 2 Red Girls. So excited!)
Third, we picked up our new puppy. She is 16 weeks old. We are still debating what her name will be, but we are so excited to see how she will grow. We are very much looking forward to showing her and eventually adding her to our breeding program.
Check out her killer eyes!

Back home and fully recovered from our very successful trip to show in Rapid City SD. Wilbur got his first Major, taking Best of Winners on 10/24. His mom did well that day too, getting her first points towards her Grand Championship.
Update August 26, 2016 -
What a year it has been! Our First litter all went to wonderful homes and now are loved by their wonderful new families. Yes, one of them stayed here, but I think I count. They have all grown up so much. I'm posting some pictures below. Scarlett finished her Championship, getting the last major that she needed on day one of the Cambridge dog show. Wilbur is growing up nicely, and I have high hopes for him. He got a group one in the puppy competition at the Wichita dog show, and a Reserve Winners in Cambridge. Here are some pictures of all the excitement!
